Rotondi Album “Finesse” + Blue Note Big Band in da Pfalz

Trumpeter Jim Rotondi and I worked together on an album with Big Band and Symphony Orchestra that is going to be released in February 2024. I did all arrangements of Jim’s compositions, then it was recorded in September 2021 where I did the conducting.

Then I am really happy to be invited as guest conductor & trumpet soloist to do a new year’s concert on January 1st in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, Germany.

We started rehearsing on Dec 27th and worked on a beautiful program, that features some of my music, but also some Brookmeyer, some Bob Florence, some Bert Joris a little Basie as well as somthing by Niels Klein.

Plus I’m really happy that they comissioned an arrangement of Bob Dylan’s “The Times They Are A-Changing”. So this arrangement will have it’s world premiere tomorrow!
