GLOW

GLOW: A Quartet for Silence, Resonance, and Inner Contemplation
The Advent season invites us to reflect, pause, and consciously experience peace.
With GLOW, Jakob presents a quartet of four distinguished musical personalities from the Viennese scene, giving these moments musical space. Four musicians from Vienna have developed a program especially for this special time of year.
GLOW’s music moves between contemporary jazz, chamber music, and minimalist structures. It creates a space for fragility, calm, and reflection—aspects that are often lost during this time of year. Jakob Helling’s compositions unfold their special power in sacred spaces, where architecture and acoustics become resonant chambers for sound and silence. Shared silence also finds its place in the music and becomes part of the composition. This creates a musical meditation, a shared breathing space that serves as an ideal preparation for the end of the year.
GLOW is not a classic Advent program. It is a moment of peace and togetherness in a challenging time. Minimalist, acoustic music creates a new resonance within us and invites us to find strength and calm.
